Product Details
Lodge, America’s oldest cast iron manufacturer, is recognised around the world for its reliable cast iron skillets. While this pan is miniature in size, it delivers the exact same heavy-duty performance as Lodge's larger models. Cast iron is prized for its ability to get extremely hot and retain that heat, resulting in gorgeously browned foods. This tiny skillet is just the right size for an individual portion of macaroni and cheese, a fried egg, a personal baked dessert, or for tempering spices. It can go on all hobs including induction, in ovens, and on the barbecue. Over time, cast iron builds a top layer, or ‘patina’, that makes it stick-resistant; this requires a little extra care – read all about how to care for cast iron pans here. It arrives pre-seasoned with vegetable oil so you can start cooking right away.
Note: Because Lodge pans are made using a traditional sand-moulding technique and undergo pre-seasoning before reaching you, there may be minor cosmetic imperfections such as pinholes or smudges on the surface. These are considered normal and do not affect the performance of the pans. The diameter refers to the rim of the pan.

Why we love it
'Perfect for a single egg in the morning or as a topping, or individual servings of puddings. When tempering spices to add to a curry, the compact surface keeps spices together and easier to control. Cast iron also holds heat well, helping the spices toast evenly and release more aroma.'Specifications & Care
